Aloha and mahalo for your interest in the Turtle Bay Foundation Scholarship program.
PURPOSE – The Turtle Bay Foundation provides support for deserving youth and organizations who shape the sustainable future of our North Shore and Ko‘olauloa communities.
SCHOLARSHIPS – The Turtle Bay Foundation awards one-year scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current college students. The availability of funds will determine the amount and number of scholarships. The Turtle Bay Foundation Scholarship Committee will review the submissions received and select winners. Scholarships will be awarded after receiving proof of enrollment in an educational program.
SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS – Scholarship recipients will be selected on the following competitive basis by using a combination of criteria, including
- Academic Performance based on high school and/or college grades depending on class level (3.5 or better on a 4.0 grading scale GPA).
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and community service
- Written statement
- Video submission
- Financial need
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
- Complete and submit the online application form below by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
- Upload a copy of your most recent high school or college transcript (official or unofficial transcripts). Please label your document with the following naming convention LastName_FirstName_Transcript. Here's an example: Muraco_Kiele_Transcript.pdf.
- Submit the 1-minute video entry portion of the application via the DropBox link below. Please label your video with the following naming convention LastName_FirstName_Video. Here's an example: Muraco_Kiele_Video.mp4.
- Each Applicant MUST:
a. Be a Hawai‘i resident who resides between Mokuleia and Kualoa
b. Or be currently attending college in Hawai‘i or out-of-state with your parental address between Mokuleia and Kualoa - If you have any questions, please contact Kiele Muraco at info@turtlebayfoundation.com.
- Applicants who do not accurately complete the application, submit the proper documents and submit the application on time will not be considered.
Video Submission
Your video submission must be original and created for the sole purpose of the scholarship application. Any inappropriate or non-related content will not be considered. Students applying must submit a 1-minute video in response to the two prompts below. Each part of your response should be roughly 30 seconds long.
You must submit your video as a part of this application via the DropBox link by 11:59 PM on February 28, 2023. After your video has been submitted, don’t forget to return to this page and submit the application form, if you haven’t already.
