Turtle Bay Foundation, the charitable giving arm of the Turtle Bay Resort, raised $118,000 after 44 participating teams from 40 companies swung into action at this year’s 9th annual golf tournament on October 20, 2022. Proceeds from the tournament will continue to support the Foundation’s efforts to award college scholarships to North Shore and Koʻolauloa students.
“We are excited to focus all our efforts on supporting our deserving North Shore students as they pursue higher education because this is the most important initiative we can do for our community,” said Tom Donovan, vice president and managing director at Turtle Bay Resort.

“Mahalo nui loa to our sponsors and everyone who donated the amazing prizes for the online auction and raffle. Thanks to your incredible support, Turtle Bay Foundation surpassed our fundraising goal for the next round of scholarships that we will award in Spring 2023,” added Donovan.
The Foundation held an online auction that gave bidders a chance to win two to three-night getaways to luxury resorts in Hawai‘i and around the country, a round of golf with PGA tour professional Tony Finau, private surf lessons with professional surfer Jamie O’Brien, artwork from renowned local artists like Nick Kuchar and Jack Soren, and more.
Blackstone, the owner of Turtle Bay, provides significant financial support to uplift Turtle Bay Foundation’s impact on the surrounding North Shore communities. The Foundation is also powered by guests at Turtle Bay Resort who are asked to donate a dollar a day during their stay.
Since 2012, the Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships and grants to 384 students and more than 70 nonprofits. Read more about our most recent class of scholars at this link.
